Monte Grappa Cycling 2015

Lots of news for the second edition of the Monte Grappa Cycling: shift of the race in July, new routes designed by Stefano Di Santo, cartographer of the Giro d’Italia and special promotions developed by the Organizing Committee thanks to the experience gained from the Dolomiti Classic of Arabba.

NEW DATE: The 2015 edition of the Monte Grappa Classic is scheduled on Sunday, July 26, when the racing season goes live. An ideal date for both participants and their family and friends thanks to the numerous outdoor proposals, among nature, history, culture and gastronomy, that the neighboring towns around Mount Grappa offer during summer.

AN INNOVATIVE CLIMB: To the “Climb of the Heroes”, much appreciated for its high technical features and truly charming landscape, we added another climb. New, never faced so far by any cycling race, this uphill stretch will be proposed both in the long track and in the short one. We are talking about the road that leads from the town of Cismon del Grappa in the locality of Menaor to the intersection with the “148 Cadorna” provincial road, two km before Rifugio Forcelletto. A cool and shady climb that mostly unwinds through woods, with two stretches of dirt roads of about 400 m each and a beautiful view over the Valsugana and the Asiago plateau near the end.

Maximum gradient of 18%.
